Monday, July 2nd: Karakia – 5:30pm at Ruapehu Arts Centre, Community Dinner – 6pm, Shop Window Display Competition (ongoing), Colouring in Competition

Experience an amazing meal inspired by Maori flavours and storytelling by Matua Maurice Walden.  Tickets are $40 and available at REAP or Big Mama’s Cafe.

Decorate your windows in the spirit of Matariki for a chance to win $1600 in prizes

Start colouring in your picture and return it later this week to REAP to be displayed in the window, with prizes for the best entries.

Tuesday. July 3rd: Starry Nights at REAP – 6-8pm, Movie Night – 6:30pm

Free glass of wine and nibbles at Copper Tree Cafe before watching The Breaker Uppers.  Tickets are $15 at REAP

Learn how to identify stars and find Matariki in the sky.  If you have a digital camera, learn how to take pictures of the night sky.

Wednesday, July 4th: Starry Nights at REAP – 6-8pm

Thursday, July 5th: Starry Nights at REAP – 6-8pm, Colouring in Competition – entries to be returned to REAP today, Winter Festival Ball – 7:30pm-12am @ RSA

Join the Lions Club in celebrating with the Winter Ball – supper, raffles, music.  Tickets are $25 (single)/$45 (double) and available from Guys & Gals Barbershop, REAP, or the Lions Club

Friday, July 6th: Night Market – 6-9pm @ Manuaute Street

Visit the night market for stalls and entertainment.  Pickup a registration form at REAP reception if you’d like to setup a stall.

Saturday, July 7th: Junior Snow Queen Competition – 11am @ Manuaute Street

Split into 2 age groups, there will be prizes available for the top 3 in each:  0 – 6 years old and 7 – 12 years old.
