David established Designhand 3 years ago and has been operating in the Ruapehu area now for 18 months. Designhand specialises in small business website design including brochure sites and online shops. Designhand also has an office just north of Auckland and David balances his time between both offices on a regular basis. Based in Owhango, David enjoys the wonders of what the Ruapehu area have to offer all year round. A keen snowboarder and tramper, having walked the Tongariro Crossing four times, David is often up the mountain in the winter and somewhere in either the Tongariro or Whanganui National Parks in the summer.
Recent projects completed in the Taumarunui area include King Country Driver Training and Roll Back the Years online shop.
Roll Back the Years (www.rollbacktheyears.co.nz) was an excellent site to build as a lot of the content was already available and building a site about a history book enabled Designhand to add some design flair to give the site an authentic look and feel.
The Taumarunui Historical Society is well pleased and finds the revolving photos an especially intriguing feature. Since the site has been in operation Society member Audrey has been kept busy with the resulting book sales to send away and enquiries from interested people to respond to.
Colin from King Country Driver Training (www.kingcountrydrivertraining.co.nz) approached David late last year to build a site for the Driver Training business Colin runs out of Manunui. Designhand created the new logo for Colin as well as the website and Colin is extremely happy with the launch of the site and the new marketing platform to advertise his Driver Training Business.
"David was great with taking care of a complete novice in regard to Web sites. He kept me up to date with all that was going on and made the whole process Stress Free." David also operates a separate entity called Web Design Training www.webdesigntraining.co.nz and delivers training through the Central King Country REAP office in Taumarunui and Central Plateau REAP office in Taupo. David has delivered 5 courses in Basic Web Design through Taumarunui, one in Turangi and one just recently in Taupo.
